File your Tax Return

A tax return is a statement of all A- and B-income you have earned in a tax year, along with all your deductions.

Your tax return is prepared based on all relevant information about you, including data you have provided, as well as information from your employer, banks, and others.

You will receive your final tax assessment in your e-Boks. If you are exempt from digital mail, your tax return will be sent to your registered address.

If any information is missing from your tax return, you are required to provide the correct information to the Tax Agency by amending your tax return no later than May 1.

If you can fully approve the pre-filled tax return, no further action is required.

If you submit your tax return late, your final tax will be increased with an additional charge between DKK 200 and DKK 2,000, or between DKK 200 and DKK 5,000 if you are self-employed.

How to Amend Your Tax Return

You can amend your tax return in three ways:

  1. Online with MitID via Self-Service

If you have MitID, you can amend your tax return through the Self-Service portal at www.sullissivik.gl tax return. The site is in Greenlandic and Danish only.

Click on the self-service link in the top the Sullissivik Site ‘’Akileraarutikka’ uani iserfigiuk’ / ‘Log ind på Mit Skat her’ and log in with your MitID to get started.

  1. Online without MitID via the Tax Agency’s Self-Service Page

If you don’t have MitID, you can amend your tax return through the Tax Agency’s self-service page at aka.gl. You will need the self-service code found on your pre-filled tax return to log in.

To start Self Service go to the front page of www.AKA.gl and log in at the top.

Note: You can only amend your tax return on the Tax Agency’s self-service page after you have received the pre-filled tax return from the Tax Agency.

  1. In Writing by Sending the Amended Tax Return by Mail
    • Instead of amending your tax return online, you can make corrections directly on the pre-filled tax return you received by mail. Once completed and signed, send the amended return back to the Tax Agency by mail.

Important Note:
Make sure you have a Nemkonto with your bank to ensure you receive any potential tax refund by August 31, 2024, if you have no outstanding public debt. If you do have debt to the public sector, the debt will first be offset from your refund, and you will receive an offset notice afterward.

Deadlines
  • You must submit your amended tax return to the Tax Agency no later than May 1.
  • If you are self-employed and your income was not estimated for the 2022 tax year, the deadline is May 15, 2024, if you submit and upload your tax return and financial statements electronically.

In special cases, such as severe illness, you may be granted an extension to submit your tax return no later than June 1.
