Greenland participates in international efforts to combat tax evasion and prevent aggressive tax planning. The task of developing international standards and overseeing proper national implementation is largely managed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Greenland is committed to upholding these international standards and has become a member of two OECD collaborative bodies: the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information and the Inclusive Framework on Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS).
Additionally, Greenland has close cooperation with its Nordic counterparts regarding the exchange of tax information, the fight against international tax evasion, and customs matters. This cooperation takes place on both bilateral and multilateral levels in accordance with established agreements. The framework for joint Nordic collaboration is primarily set within the Nordic Council of Ministers and the Nordic Agenda.
